About Us
So, who are we really?
Gorgeous Goose Cakes was started by Jennifer in 2019 after receiving decorating tools from her nan and experimenting with custom cake decorations for family birthdays and events.
After receiving praise from a local restaurateur at a family birthday and being asked for a business card to promote, the idea of being able to express art through cake for a living was started.
Gorgeous Goose Cakes specialises in made to order custom cakes and cupcakes for all occasions in the Wellington region. We work closely with you through the whole design process to make that special idea come to life.
Baking is done in a fully registered kitchen at home and we have a store front on the main road in Tawa.

Jennifer
Jennifer is the magic ingredient behind the business with the creative know how and bringing your designs to life.
Jennifer has grown up in Wellington and loves the community in Tawa where she calls home with her husband Jamie and four children (yes you read that right!) - Kyron, Lincoln, Isabella and Magnus.
When not baking and decorating, Jennifer loves hanging out with her friends, playing football and taking part with all the kids activities (she knows how to keep busy!)
Jamie
Husband to Jennifer, Jamie was the one that got the ball rolling on the business - buying the first mixer and convincing Jennifer that her love for cake decorating could be a career.
Jamie has a background in Accounting so looks after the more technical side of the business, however you will still find him in the kitchen decorating cupcakes, making the NYC cookies and brownies.
Christine
Keeping things in the family, Christine is mum. You will find her in the shop a few days a week helping with the retail side of the business.
Coming from her role as a carer, she has a knack for knowing what people need and is always open to a chat. She loves spending time with all her grandbabies, a touch of gardening and pottering around the house.
